– Bergen, Norway-based Grieg Seafood has named Piotr Wingaard its new CCO.
Wingaard, who has worked at Grieg since 2020, said that he was honored by the opportunity to grow his role on the sales team, where he formerly served as business controller and development director.
“A lot of good work has been put in over the years, and I look forward to continuing to develop our market position and our partnerships together with great colleagues,” Wingaard said.
Grieg CEO Nina Willumsen Grieg said she looked forward to working with Wingaard.
“His experience, competence, and deep understanding of Grieg Seafood will be important drivers of our success in the years ahead,” she said.
Wingaard is replacing Erik Holvik in the role. Holvik served as CCO at Grieg starting in 2020, arriving at the company from a sales director role at Mowi. He has left Grieg to take a sales position at SalMar.
– Omaha, Nebraska, U.S.A.-based grain, feed, and food ingredients supplier Scoular has announced a new leadership team for its growing marine ingredients business.
“As demand grows for sustainable sources of protein and omega-3s, Scoular’s marine ingredients business is evolving to meet it,” Scoular CEO Paul Maass said.
The firm’s marine ingredients business sources and supplies fishmeal and fish oil for human consumption, animal feed, aquafeed, and pet food globally, with offices in the U.S., Mexico, Chile, Singapore, China, South Korea, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Thailand.
“This team brings a renewed focus on our customers and suppliers and aligns with our mission of creating safe, reliable, and innovative supply chain solutions for their businesses,” Maass said.
Quinn Maass, new director of Scoular’s Marine Division, added that the firm “has moved quickly to implement exciting changes that strengthen how we serve our suppliers and customers in this dynamic and evolving market.”
“This is an important business for our company, and we’ve brought together a talented, high-integrity team to lead it,” Maass said.
Other appointments on the new team include Tony Stella as global marine product manager, Evan Ibach as North American marine product manager, and Jose Raul Velarde as Mexico marine product manager.
Maass, Ibach, Stella, and Verlarde are all long-time employees of Scoular, though Stella comes most recently from Performance Trust Capital Partners where he served as vice president of the company’s Financial Institutions Group. Before his time at the bank, he worked for Scoular as a commodity trader.
– New South Wales, Australia-based Murray Cod Australia (MCA) has appointed Katherine Bryar as chief sales and marketing officer beginning 1 February 2026.
“As MCA enters its next phase of growth, we are focused on building a strong and balanced sales foundation – driving greater domestic brand penetration while expanding our international footprint,” MCA CEO Ross Anderson said. “Katherine’s global perspective, proven record in premium seafood marketing, and commitment to sustainability make her an outstanding addition to the leadership team as Murray Cod continues its rise across key markets.”
Bryar has a long history of roles in branding and marketing.
She comes to Murray from BioMar Group, where she was a strategic marketing manager for aquaculture producers. She has also worked at New Zealand King Salmon, where she worked on the Ora King and Regal King Salmon brands.
“Murray Cod is the most exciting company I have seen in seafood for a very long time. This fish, with its exceptional quality, provenance, and sustainability credentials, has the potential to be a truly iconic Australian product,” Bryar said.
